Fabrication of a Cold Rolled Steel Precision Audiophile High End Chassis
We have a long history of providing high quality, precision manufactured components at ADM Custom Metal Fabrication. When a professional in the audio business contacted us to manufacture a 5 piece high end audio chassis assembly, we were pleased to take on the job.
Employing our state-of-the-art punch with emboss tooling, insertion press, press brake, and spot welder, our team of experts fabricated these assemblies from 20 GA cold rolled steel. This product is made up from 5 separate parts which must perfectly fit together when assembled, requiring tight tolerances of ± 0.010”. The completed product is finished with black powder coating and bright zinc plating, and has dimensions of 13” wide, 9.5” deep, and 4” high. Each piece is dimensionally and visually inspected, with a prototype assembly constructed first to assure all of our client’s specifications were met. The product passed inspection and is now produced in numbers of 60 per year. Our fabrication team completed the prototype in 3 weeks and the production quantity was delivered 2 weeks later to our client in New Jersey.
